Each year the Carney Roundup Rodeo Committee has 3-4 qualified individuals graciously volunteer to judge the rodeo queen and court pageant. Judging the queen, princess and lil miss categories is not an easy task. The pageant begins in May, this is when the girls have their private interview with the judges and give their oral biography on stage in front of many family members, friends and fellow contestants. The Friday night before the rodeo is when the contestants compete in barrel racing and demonstrate their horsemanship by completing a western horsemanship pattern which is made by one of the judges. Throughout rodeo weekend the girls are judged on their fly-bys, ability to run sponsor flags, how they interact with each other and the crowd, their appearance, and their sportsmanship. Throughout the entire competition the contestants are judged on Appearance, Personality, Written Biography, a Photo, Oral Biography, Interview, Stick Pony (for lil misses), Barrel Pattern, Horsemanship Pattern, Fly-By, and Sponsor Flag Run. The Carney Roundup Rodeo would like to show our thanks for the three judges who have volunteered their time this year to judge the pageant. Without them this pageant would not be possible.

CONTEST INFORMATION:  The girls were judged in 8 categories:  Appearance, Personality, Written Biography, Oral Biography,
Interview, Photo, Horsemanship Pattern and Barrels.  The winners received the Title, a Sash designed
